Position Overview

- High-Impact Policy Leadership — You would shape how new laws are understood, implemented, and communicated, directly influencing operations across the Clerk’s office. Few roles offer this level of ownership over legislative analysis and strategic policy direction.
- Strategic Planning Authority — You lead the development and monitoring of an organization-wide strategic plan, giving you a central role in defining priorities, aligning departments, and driving long-term outcomes.
- Cross-Functional Visibility — The position works closely with Executive Leadership, justice partners, county officials, and statewide commissions. This provides exceptional exposure, relationship-building opportunities, and influence across multiple levels of government.
- Project Ownership from Concept to Completion — You don’t just analyze issues—you drive initiatives. From task force efforts to research, you lead projects that have real operational and community impact.
- Statewide Representation & Collaboration — Representing the Clerk’s office at the conferences which position you as a key voice in discussions, while facilitating the Odyssey Counties Consortium allows you to shape best practices across Florida.
Requirements
- Knowledge of legislative processes.
- Experience within Florida government or public sector environments.
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including briefing and presentation development.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to build productive relationships with internal and external partners.
- Experience supporting executive leadership through research, analysis, and coordination.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience working in a government-sector role related to the responsibilities outlined in this position.
OR
- 7 years of experience working in a government-sector role related to the responsibilities outlined in this position.
- Project Management certification is a plus.
