Vindman for Florida is seeking a Political Director to build and lead the campaign’s political program in one of the most competitive political environments in the country.
The Political Director will manage the political department, drive a disciplined endorsements strategy, and plan and execute a high-volume events operation that strengthens the campaign’s relationships with elected officials, local leaders, constituencies, and key organizations. This position is oriented on building excitement amongst likely supporters as well as persuasion efforts to expand the universe of Vindman voters.
The Political Director is expected to be highly organized, proactive, and fluent in Florida Democratic politics, including the state party ecosystem, key electeds, coalition partners, and stakeholder dynamics across regions.
Requirements
- Significant campaign or political experience, with at least two cycles strongly preferred in Florida.
- Demonstrated ability to manage staff and run multiple workstreams with competing deadlines.
- Strong knowledge of Florida Democratic politics, key stakeholders, and the political geography of the state.
- Proven experience planning and executing campaign events at high volume.
- Experience running endorsements processes or comparable stakeholder approval workflows.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort briefing senior staff and the candidate.
- Strong judgment, discretion, and ability to build trust with high-level stakeholders.
- Willingness to work nights and weekends as required and travel statewide.
- Spanish proficiency is a plus.
